The fish is a reference to a Sardine saleswoman that used to be very popular with the people of al-Hattaba, especially the kids. This pattern is one of the many represented on the khiyamiyya (patchwork) produced by the women of al-Hattaba within the framework of Women Quilt for al-Hattaba Project.
